Modern infrastructure

Alberta's world-class infrastructure supports business development and growth. Modern infrastructure in Alberta includes advanced technology, extensive transportation networks, quality education and training facilities, superior research and development, and competitively priced commercial and industrial real estate.

Alberta is strategically located with its central position in the growing western Canadian market of nine million people. It has emerged as the western North American warehouse and distribution hub for Canada and the Pacific Northwest region of the United States.

Alberta is the only western province that offers overnight, or less than 24-hour delivery service to all of western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

With direct connections to two of North America's largest highway trade corridors, quick and efficient access to the enormous markets of the Pacific Northwest, California and Central Canada is available.

The Pacific Rim is easily accessible thanks to an excellent inter-modal system linking Alberta to the tide-water port of Vancouver. There is great scope for expanded transportation of goods and people, and very little threat of congestion.
