Industry stakeholders

  • Travel Alberta : Travel Alberta is the provincial Crown corporation responsible for undertaking tourism marketing campaigns in domestic and international markets. 

  • Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation (Tourism Division):

    The staff from the Tourism Business Development, Research and Investment Branch assess tourism investment opportunities and link them to potential investors and financial resources. Branch staff work to provide an assessment and linking of investor interests and financial resources with appropriate tourism development and investment opportunities.

    The Tourism Investment Symposium is coordinated by the Branch to provide Alberta communities with opportunities to profile land-based, for-profit tourism investment projects and generate investor interest and new business. The Branch also works closely to identify and target domestic and international investors and to promote joint venture tourism investment opportunities with Alberta based companies.

  • Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA): Represents resorts, hotels, motels and other fixed roof accommodation providers across the province, and undertake a variety of advocacy and programming initiatives to support its members.

  • Alberta Bed & Breakfast Association: Organization representing the interests of bed and breakfast operators in Alberta.

  • Alberta Country Vacations Association: Association that represents country vacation businesses in Alberta – including guest ranches, working ranches, backcountry vacations and farm/ranch country vacations.

  • Alberta Outfitters Association: Organization represents the commercial trail riding industry of Alberta.

  • Alberta Professional Outfitters Society: Responsible for managing the guided outfitted hunting industry on behalf of the Government of Alberta.

  • Calgary International Airport Authority: This organization is responsible for developing and maintaining the Calgary International and Springbank Airports.

  • Canadian Tourism Commission: The corporate web site for Canadian tourism industry operators.

  • Edmonton Airports: Edmonton Airports is a corporation that manages the Edmonton International Airport, as well as the Edmonton region's three general aviation airports: Edmonton City Centre, Villeneuve Airport, and Cooking Lake Airport.

  • Invest Canada: Find investment opportunities in Canada for a variety of industries including tourism.
