The province’s rail, truck, air and pipeline transportation systems provide effective and efficient movement of commodities and passengers. Surface transportation allows Alberta producers and manufacturers direct access to key U.S. markets and to ports on Canada’s east and west coasts for offshore destinations.  

Alberta’s economy is driven by its ability to export products and services and the transportation and logistics industry plays a critical role, supporting a variety of industries across the province.
