Education

Alberta has one of the world’s best education systems. We are at the forefront of education, providing students with all the tools they need to achieve their full potential. Investment in schools, universities, colleges and technical institutes are increasing, keeping Alberta education affordable and of the highest quality.

Albertans are among the best-educated people in North America. Statistics show that about 90 per cent of Albertans aged 25-34 have completed high school. By age 24, 75 per cent of Alberta high school graduates are working on or have completed a post-secondary program.

Government representatives and educators from around the world come to our province to study our school system and the reasons behind our students’ success.

Most jobs in Alberta require a high school (secondary) education and many require post-secondary training. Many adults return to school to improve their education or learn about changing technology. Before finding your ideal job in Alberta, you may need to improve your English language skills or upgrade your job qualifications.
