Crafts are an important part of Alberta’s cultural heritage. Popular crafts in Alberta include glass blowing, woodwork, pottery, weaving and jewelry-making as well as ethnic crafts such as Ukrainian decorated eggs called pysanka. How can I try a new craft?

If you are interested in trying a new craft in Alberta, there are many ways to do so. Many craft and hobby retail shops offer classes. There are also a number of craft guilds and organizations you could join.
