Alberta museums
Alberta has a wide range of museums that celebrate the heritage of numerous towns and villages or display specialist collections such as airplanes, automobiles, mining history, sports history, railway history, fossils, forts and pioneer groups to name a few.

The Government of Alberta supports 18 provincial historic sites and museums. These include:

- Reynolds-Alberta Museum, Wetaskiwin
- Remington Carriage Museum, Cardston
- Oil Sands Discovery Centre, Fort McMurray
- Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Fort Macleod
- Lougheed House, Calgary
