Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)

Employer eligibility

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is an employer driven program. An employer’s application for an allocation under the program to select a Semi-Skilled Worker to be considered for a nomination to become a permanent resident will be considered only if the offer of employment:

  • Is for permanent, full time employment in Alberta.
     
  • Has been identified as an eligible occupation within one of the following industries:
  • Meets provincial employment and wage standards.
     
  • Is made to an individual who meets the required qualifications for the position.
     
  • Does not conflict with existing collective bargaining agreements.
     
  • Is accompanied by a Service Canada Labour Market Opinion (LMO) confirmation.
