The Agriculture & Food Branch of Alberta International, Intergovernmental & Aboriginal Relations (AIIAR), in collaboration with the International Offices, offers a range of services for Alberta businesses and organizations interested in, or currently exporting key international markets.

Key services

  • Provide market intelligence regarding market opportunities and emerging agri-food trends and important issues that have an impact on Alberta industry and their marketing efforts in international markets.
     
  • Provide consultation to Alberta businesses on how to market products to export markets for both new and experienced exporters.
     
  • Assist in business facilitation between Alberta and foreign companies including identifying potential partners, communication assistance, and opportunity identification. International Offices can also help act as a liaison for Alberta companies to foreign clients.
     
  • AIIAR can assist companies traveling to key markets, particularly in introducing potential partners, arranging programs, and accompanying missions.

The Alberta Government has operated offices in key international markets for over 30 years. Alberta's International offices are instrumental in improving the quality of market intelligence and market development activities for Alberta businesses. The Agriculture & Food Branch of AIIAR works closely with them to offer experienced service and assistance to Alberta's agri-food sector.
